What is anxiety?

Anxiety disorder is a natural mental disorder caused by an emotion of anxiety or fear, or both combined. Anxiety disorder has up to 8 different subtypes, that encompasses constant worries about an object or situation, multiple phobias and fears, sudden attacks of apprehension, fear of social interactions, post traumatic stress, separation from “safety” (e.g. place or people), distressing thoughts and impulses to perform rituals and acts. Anxiety disorders are partly genetic, which means you are partially responsible for developing this disorder.

What causes anxiety?

You might not know that anxiety disorder can be caused by genetics (family members who have their own disorder basically transmit it to other family members), drugs (neurotoxins like coffee and alcohol or stress medications, even moderate use of), hormonal imbalance, persistent worries and information overload (that is not filtered properly).

How to deal with anxiety?

How to deal with anxiety?

Nature of anxiety is very complex and has various roots and reasons.
I want to underline that you won’t find “10 magical” steps for overcoming anxiety here. I will give you heads up on how to deal with anxiety forever and let you choose whether you are ready for solid and profound work on yourself or, you just looking for amateur “entertainment” (e.g. close your eyes and think that “everything shall pass”)

Anxiety is the result of accumulated mental material. Mental material, which causes and develops anxiety, is, in fact, any environmental stress, strong emotional memory, painful experience, repetitive failure. You might not even realize that you have something so influential and weakening inside. You can try coping with anxiety, taking pills and etc. or you can get rid of it, but only if you are ready to go through each dark secret of yours, dive into your darker part, go through everything that you’ve been stuffing in the closet that you prefer to keep shut, because it is your “pain” that is inside.

If that’s the case – you can’t escape “yourself”, you have to dive in your mind, face it “all” and take that mental garbage with your “bare hands” and throw it out with no hesitation, thus purifying your mind and your life.

One of the main aspects that is true to every type of anxiety disorder is that there is always “something” and “why” that’s causing and developing anxiety. This should be the focus, when dealing with anxiety. By working on and eliminating all the “whys” and the roots of every single manifestation of anxiety, one can set free from its influence and breathe freely.

  • Worried about something? (e.g. future, uncertainty) – Clean up everything that is associated with the object, all the “whys” and fixations on uncertainties, discover roots of your worry and work on those.

  • Got apprehended out of nowhere? – Capture your thoughts, dig deeper, process and eliminate affecting trash, so it won’t come back again.

  • Suffering from social anxiety? – just divide your anxiety into aspects/points (true reasons) of your worry (e.g. afraid of being shamed or humiliated, this person is “freaking” me out or anything else); write it down and work on it, there is no place for that stuff in your mind that is ought to be clean and sound.
