“Personality distortions” series is based on the ideas of numerous practicing psychologists, their researches and observations (e.g. eight-circuit model of consciousness, psychosexual development). In addition, this series of mechanisms is based on several types of personalities and behaviors (or more correctly mild deviance – behavior that violates norms of the society), those aspects forms in early childhood as well, independently of “nurturing” aspect. Usually an average person has the entire “list” of such traits with varying degrees of manifestation.

Additionally, there are three “polish” mechanisms, which dive deeper into the childhood and let you almost feel “its taste”.
